Job description

We are looking for a highly competent, energetic, and positive leader to cover the position of Quality & HSE Manager in our site in Mendrisio, Switzerland.

In this key role, you will lead the Quality & HSE areas, develop a committed team, and report directly to the Managing Director.

You will carry the strategic mission of ensuring that GPV Switzerland maintains the highest levels of quality excellence while cultivating a strong HSE culture across the site. You will ensure the compliance, effectiveness, and continuous improvement of our Quality and HSE systems while acting as the main interface for customers, suppliers, and certification bodies.

Job requirements

Your responsibilities

·         Lead and develop the Quality & HSE team, creating strong commitment and engagement

·         Drive compliance with customer requirements, standards, and certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)

·         Promote and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and ensure alignment with GPV Group policies

·         Oversee audits, non‑conformity management, corrective actions, and quality performance metrics

·         Manage Supplier Quality (inspection plans, incoming materials controls, supplier non‑conformities and claims)

·         Support customer visits/audits

·         Act as “Ex Authorized Person” for ATEX products

·         Serve as Management Representative for QMS effectiveness and awareness

·         Promote and reinforce a safe working environment, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations

·         Promote initiatives and continuous improvement in HSE areas

·         Collaborate cross‑functionally with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain and Group Quality/HSE teams

 

Your profile

·         Technical degree (bachelor’s or master’s degree in applied sciences or engineering)

·         Minimum 5 years’ experience in the role, preferably in the electronics manufacturing sector

·         Strong knowledge of ISO standards and Manufacturing Best Practices (an experience with AS9100 certification and knowledge of IPC standards will be considered a plus)

·         Experience with QMS and QMS audits

·         Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Ability to prepare technical and quality reports

·         Strong ability to manage complex situations and work under pressure

·         Coaching skills and ability to sponsor quality and HSE initiatives

·         Team‑oriented, collaborative approach

·         Passion for the role and alignment with company values

·         Reliability, flexibility, and precision

·         Excellent English language skills

·         Very good MS Office skills
